In a bid to democratize access to energy data and foster sustainability across buildings, MeterZ, a pioneering energy metering company, has been selected to join the prestigious Energy Systems Catapult Climate Accelerator Program in its fourth cohort, which kicks off in January 2024.  MeterZ's participation in the program is additionally bolstered by grant funding secured from the Energy Systems Catapult. This financial support not only validates MeterZ's innovative vision but also provides the resources necessary to accelerate its development and deployment efforts following initial project successes with early adopters. 

The Energy Systems Catapult Climate Accelerator Program, known for nurturing innovative ventures in the realm of sustainable energy and grid resiliency, has garnered attention for its impactful contributions towards combating climate change. Sponsored by prominent entities such as the UK Government's Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), Innovate UK, HSBC, and the University of Birmingham, the program serves as a launchpad for trailblazing companies aiming to disrupt, and critically improve, the current energy landscape. Previous participants include the likes of Demand Logic and GridServe have gone on to achieve noteworthy milestones, thereby solidifying the program's reputation as a catalyst for positive change in the energy sector.

MeterZ's inclusion in the Climate Accelerator Program underscores its commitment to driving tangible change in the energy sector. With a focus on leveraging advanced technology to empower businesses and individuals with comprehensive energy data coverage, MeterZ has found it’s home within the catapult -  where there is a recognition of the barriers to decarbonisation posed by poor building level energy data in existing buildings. Previous participants have gone on to achieve noteworthy milestones, ranging from product innovations to impactful partnerships, thereby solidifying the program's reputation as a catalyst for positive change in the energy sector.
